Founded by Jabari Shelton, A$AP Bari, and co-owned by A$AP Rocky and Edison Chen, Vlone emerged in 2013, gaining rapid popularity within the A$AP Mob. Worn by influential figures like Drake and Ye, the streetwear label, co-founded by Shelton and A$AP K in 2011, quickly became a Harlem street style sensation.

Originally known for its iconic hoodies and shirts, Vlone evolved into a cultural phenomenon. Shelton’s collaboration with Edison Chen infused design expertise, drawing inspiration from Harlem’s fashion roots. Reflecting a lifestyle and culture that signifies “You live alone and you die alone,” Vlone transcends traditional branding.

In 2014, Vlone debuted its inaugural collection, later partnering with Nike in 2017. However, a controversy in 2017 led to the termination of the Nike deal. The brand took a significant step by participating in its first runway show during the 2017 Paris Fashion Week.

Expanding its horizons in 2020, Vlone collaborated with renowned artists like Juice WRLD, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, The Weeknd, Nav, Pop Smoke, and more, venturing into artist-driven merchandise.

Despite its success, Vlone faced a major setback in October 2022. Citing discrepancies and a sexual assault scandal involving Bari, the brand announced his termination, distancing itself from his actions.
